Where the numbers come from

Manufacturer or retail SKU sales (Circana/NPD, Amazon) are almost never public. This observatory does not invent them.

We do use:
• SEC EDGAR (XBRL) for Mattel, Hasbro, Funko, JAKKS: annual group revenue once a 10-K has a ~365-day duration (in practice ~2007–2009 onward).
• Public 10-K tables from before XBRL for 2000–2006/2009, cited on each row.
• Earnings releases for figures such as Barbie or Hot Wheels gross billings, labeled reported.
• Annual reports for LEGO, Bandai Namco, Takara Tomy, Bloks Group (HKEX), and private-company press.
• IR and newsroom RSS for public releases. The site matches those headlines to line names (news, mention, reveal, delay) without entering Instagram, TikTok, or sell-through panels.
• Public catalog photos for reference (LEGO sets, for example), with a visible credit. We do not copy retailers or social feeds.

Every figure shows its source and quality. McFarlane, MGA and other private houses live in the catalog; revenue stays unavailable until a citable figure exists.

This is not investment advice. It is a sourced toy archive.
